2020 Academy cancelled due to COVID-19

The Bristol Bay Fly Fishing and Guide Academy planning committee has decided to officially cancel the 2020 Academy due to health concerns related to COVID-19. The 2020 Academy was scheduled to take place at Last Cast Lodge in Igiugig, AK at the beginning of June.

The committee’s first and foremost priority is keeping our students and host community safe and healthy. We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Last Cast Lodge and for their shared commitment in postponing the Academy for the safety of the region and the people who are involved in putting on and participating in the Academy.

The 2021 Bristol Bay Fly Fishing and Guide Academy will be hosted at Last Cast Lodge. Applications of students who applied for the 2020 Academy will be honored and evaluated for the 2021 Academy. Students who have already applied should have received an email from a member of our team with more information.

Our team is here to answer any questions you have about the decision to cancel the Academy in 2020, or application status for both 2020 and 2021.
