Oh the places you’ll go!

Guiding jobs can take you anywhere. Check out this cool new opportunity for grads in Denali National Park! All we can say, is if you were listening during the course, and thrived on Client Day, you’d love this one!

Fish Denali is looking for 3 more highly motivated fishing guides to work our private lakes system managed for trophy rainbow and arctic grayling and local streams for this upcoming season, generally may 5- sept 30. Spend your summer by the entrance of Denali National Park, hosting anglers on mainly half day trips, who wish to fly fish, spin and jig at Alaska’s first and only ‘pay to fish lakes system’. Check out our website and ‘current fishing reports’ to see what you would be required to do, the fishing reports include videos, photos and reports from the 2014 season, May through Sept.

You need to be at least 21 yrs old, clean drivers license, into helping folks have a good time fishing. This is bank, dock, wade fishing, so no CG licenses needed. We are a small outfit, so you will need to do your share of office work, taking phone reservations and walk ins, keeping daily logs, etc. You will need to do your share of picking up guests at their hotels, and doing PR work with the area accommodations. Being able to tie flies, keep fishing gear working properly is kind of a must here. Computer and carpentry skills are a help, but hopefully you will only have time to guide anglers and time off for R&R, enjoying the local area and other fishing areas. Having your own transportation, Alaska experience is also very helpful.

This is a really fun place to spend the summer, and awesome fish to handle. If you are a ‘slacker’, don’t bother as you will not last here. I will not tolerate excessive drinking, partying, late or unprepared for trips. If you give this 120 day season your all, you can make a lot of money, have an awesome summer in the most beautiful country around.

I provide rustic wall tent housing, guide shack with full cooking and shower facilities. You need to take care of your own cooking, food and cleaning. You will make $1,500 to $6,000 a month plus tips. I will help you set up your own alaska fishing guide business, and you will become a member of our cooperative of independent fishing guides working together for the good of all. You will be paid app. 33% of what each angler pays that you guide, and paid app. 3 times a month. This all works really well if you are self motivated, friendly, and a team member. If you are a slacker, find challenges to be problems, you will not last the season, so don’t try for your sake and our sake.

Send me a resume, or write up about yourself, experience, goals, abilities to: km [@] adventuredenali dot] com, please no phone calls, I will contact you if we think you will be a good addition to our team. Thank you for your interest.
